Arrival in Nepal | Transfers from Gorakhpur to Chitwan
Chitwan National Park
- Upon arrival in Gorakhpur, meet our representative who will help you with your transfers to Nepal.
- Complete the formalities at the border as you enter Nepal.
- Continue your road journey to Chitwan National Park - one of Asia's premier wildlife reserves spread across 360 square miles of tall grasslands and forests that are home to a wide variety of mammals and birds, including several endangered species.
- Nestled at the foot of the Himalayas, Chitwan has a particularly rich flora and fauna and is home to one of the last populations of single-horned Asiatic rhinoceros and is also one of the last refuges of the Bengal Tiger.
- Today's drive will be a scenic one as you pass through the beautiful forests and breathtaking valley views.
- Chitwan is located 212 km north of Gorakhpur and it will take around 7 hours to complete the journey.
- Upon reaching Chitwan, spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Adventure Day | Jungle Activities in Chitwan National Park
Chitwan National Park
- Wake up to a beautiful morning surrounded by the chirping of birds and fresh air.
- Have a hearty breakfast in the hotel and get ready to participate in some of the jungle activities.
- You can go on an adventurous jeep/ elephant safari in the National Park (at your own cost).
- Explore the exotic wildlife of Chitwan by also going on nature walks, bird watching, or taking a boat ride through the forest.
- Upon completing your jungle activities, return back to the hotel in Chitwan.
- Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
- Overnight stay at the hotel in Chitwan.
Transfer to Kathmandu | Day at Leisure in the Capital
Kathmandu
- After having a hearty breakfast in the hotel, get ready to start your journey to Kathmandu  - the political capital and cultural heart of Nepal.
- The distance between Chitwan to Kathmandu is 170 km which will take approx 5.5 hrs to complete the journey.
- After reaching Kathmandu, rest for some time.
- Spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
- You can walk around Kathmandu Durbar Square known for its beautiful architecture. The Kumari Mahal is a residence of the living goddess of Nepal.
- Relish your taste buds with some local delicacies to get a complete cultural experience.
- In the evening you go shopping in the Thamel market and buy some souvenirs for your loved ones.
Sightseeing in Kathmandu | Explore 4 UNESCO World Heritage Sites
Kathmandu
- Post breakfast in the morning, and get ready to explore Kathmandu.
- Start off by visiting one of the most revered Hindu pilgrimage sites - the Pashupatinath temple, where the holy sadhus pray and cremations take place along the Bagmati river.
- You will then continue to the holiest shrine for the Buddhist culture in Nepal - the Boudhanath Stupa where thousands of pilgrims from different religions gather here daily to perform a ritualistic circumnavigation.
- Then, you will be taken to Patan (earlier called Lalitpur) which is separated from Kathmandu only by the Bagmati River and is the second largest town in the valley.
- Visit Patan's central Durbar Square which is an architectural center point with a far greater concentration of temples per sq. meter than in Kathmandu or Bhaktapur.
- Visit the Royal Palace, Krishna Mandir, and some beautiful Buddhist monuments in Patan Durbar Square and carry your journey further.
- You will then go to Swayambhunath the golden spire of the 5th-century Swayambhu stupa is adorned with a colorful fluttering of prayer flags; it crowns a hill overlooking the Kathmandu Valley and offers fantastic views over the city of Kathmandu. Swayambhunath is one of the most recognizable symbols in Nepal and the painted eyes of Buddha watch all who ascend the worn stone steps.
Ecursion to Nagarkot via Bhaktapur | Take a closer look at the mighty Himalayan peaks
Kathmandu
- After having your breakfast at the hotel, start your journey towards Nagarkot which will take approx 1.5 hrs (32kms) from Kathmandu.
- On the way, after 17 km, take a short stopover in Bhaktapur, a city that still gives out the distinct medieval feel with Pottery and weaving still being the traditional industries here, even today.
- Visit the Kailashnath Mahadev Statue in Sanga, situated on the border of Bhaktapur. It is one of the tallest Shiva temples in the world.
- Bhaktapur also houses some of the marvelous architectural wonders like 55 Windows palace, Golden Gate, and the magnificent five-storied pagoda-style Nyatapola Temple.
- Reach Nagarkot and enjoy the broadest views of the Highest Himalayan Ranges.
- After spending some time admiring the snow-clad mountains, start your journey back to Kathmandu.
- Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Transfer to Lumbini | Reach the holy land of Gautam Buddha
Lumbini
- Wake up early in the morning and have a delicious breakfast in the hotel.
- Get ready to start your journey to Lumbini - the birthplace of Lord Buddha.
- The distance between Kathmandu to Lumbini is 290 km and the journey will take up to 8.5 hrs.
- Upon reaching Lumbini, take some rest after the tiring journey.
- Overnight stay at the hotel in Lumbini.

- Wake up in the morning and energize yourself with a delicious breakfast at the hotel.
- Head out for your sightseeing in Lumbini.
- Start off by visiting the Mayadevi temple - a UNESCO World Heritage Site and also the birthplace of Gautam Buddha.
- Other significant attractions in the complex are the Ashokan pillar, Mayadevi pond, and the sacred Bodhi tree.
- If time permits, visit the other attractions in Lumbini like the Thai monastery, Lumbini museum, Myanmar temple, Korean temple, Crane Sanctuary, etc.
- Later, start your journey back to Gorakhpur which is around 88 km, and will take approx 3hrs to complete the journey.
