  • If you wish to travel on a date other than the group’s Ex-India departure date for your tour and/or wish to return on a date other than the day your tour ends and/or wish to fly in/out of a city other then the start/end city of your tour, there will be an additional charge that will be applicable (subject to availability of seats for the given dates and ticket validity), which will be advised to you by your Sales staff/Travel agent. Kindly note, the deviation will be actioned only 30 days prior to the tour departure date.

Itinerary

Welcome to Buenos Aires Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, you will be greeted by a local representative who will assist you in transferring to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of this incredible city. In the evening, enjoy a delightful dinner at a local restaurant. Note: The standard check-in time at the hotel is 3:00 PM.
Flight to Ushuaia and Boarding the Antarctic Cruise After checking out from the hotel, you will head to the airport in the early morning to catch your flight to Ushuaia, the southernmost tip of South America known as the "End of the World." Ushuaia, surrounded by the Martial Mountains and the Beagle Channel, serves as the gateway to Antarctic cruises. Upon arrival, you have the day free to explore Ushuaia at your own pace. Alternatively, you can opt for a tour of Tierra del Fuego with lunch. Later in the day, proceed to the pier and board the cruise.
Crossing the Drake Passage These two days will be dedicated to crossing the Drake Passage, where the Atlantic, Pacific, and Southern seas converge. Known for its turbulent waters, this region offers a unique Antarctic adventure. Take this time to familiarize yourself with the ship and deepen your knowledge about the Antarctic through lectures and presentations by the Expedition Leader. Crossing the Drake Passage Similar to the previous day, you will continue crossing the Drake Passage. Utilize this time to learn more about the history and wildlife of the Antarctic through informative lectures. The Expedition Leader will provide guidance on the IAATO rules of conduct for landings and explain the outings.
Antarctic Peninsula For the next five days, you will explore the Antarctic Peninsula, a place of unparalleled beauty. Encounter penguins, humpback whales, seals, giant petrels, elephant seals, fur seals, Antarctic minke whales, and orcas in their natural habitat. Each day, depending on ice conditions, the Captain and Expedition Leader will suggest outings and landings, allowing you to discover the abundant treasures of the Antarctic Peninsula. Marvel at glaciers, ice floes, tabletop icebergs, majestic mountain peaks, volcanic beaches, research stations, enchanting bays, and remnants of the whaling industry. Follow in the footsteps of great Antarctic explorers as you sail through remote and uninhabited lands.

Crossing the Drake Passage The Drake Passage is a notorious body of water between South America and Antarctica. It is known for its strong winds and currents, which can make for a bumpy ride. However, the passage is also home to a diverse marine ecosystem, including whales, dolphins, and penguins. Look for elegant albatross and Cape petrels soaring overhead.
Crossing the Drake Passage The Drake Passage continues to be a challenging crossing, but the wildlife is starting to become more abundant. In the evening, enjoy a tango show with dinner. Tango is a passionate dance that originated in Buenos Aires. The show will be a great way to experience the city's culture and nightlife.
