Overview

OVERVIEW

The term “Takht” refers to the throne or seat of power and holds great significance in the Sikh religion. These five spiritual places, known as Takhts, are Gurudwaras scattered throughout the country, with the Akal Takht near the Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) being the most important.

Among the five Takhts, three are located in Punjab – Akal Takht in Amritsar, Sri Keshgarh Sahib in Anandpur (Rupnagar or Ropar), and Sri Damdama Sahib at Talwandi Sabo in the Bathinda district. The other two Takhts, Takht Sri Hazur Sahib Gurudwara and Takht Sri Patna Sahib Gurudwara, are located outside Punjab in Nanded and Patna, respectively.

With our meticulously designed tour packages, pilgrims can embark on a sacred journey to these Takhts and other significant Gurudwaras, immersing themselves in the rich Sikh heritage and spirituality. Each Takht holds its own historical and religious importance, offering a profound experience for devotees.
