RWANDA – GORILLA SIGHTING

After a delicious breakfast, begin your day by exploring Kigali. Visit the Genocide Memorial Centre to gain a deeper understanding of Rwanda's history. Later, embark on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri, which will take approximately two hours. Enjoy a delectable lunch at the main lodge, while soaking in the panoramic views of the Virunga Volcanoes and the park. The afternoon is at your leisure to settle in and get acquainted with your surroundings. Optionally, you can join a guided bird walk around the lodge to spot unique bird species native to the region. Return to Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge for a delightful dinner and fall asleep to the enchanting sounds of Africa.

Start your day with an early breakfast at the lodge as you prepare for an extraordinary gorilla tracking experience in the forested hills of Volcanoes National Park. Head to the Parc National des Volcans headquarters, where you will meet your knowledgeable guide and be assigned to one of the habituated mountain gorilla families. After a safety briefing, embark on a thrilling trek through the dense tropical forest, following your guide in search of the gorilla family. Once you encounter them, spend a maximum of one hour observing these gentle giants as they play, interact, eat, or rest, respecting their space and minimizing any disturbance. After this incredible wildlife encounter, return to the edge of the forest where your vehicle awaits. Return to Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge for a well-deserved lunch and enjoy the afternoon at your leisure. End the day with a memorable dinner accompanied by a bonfire.

After a satisfying breakfast, it's time to bid farewell to Rwanda. Depart from Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge and proceed to Kigali airport for your onward flight home.
